Ambushes and Unprovoked Attacks: New FBI Study Examines Assaults on Law Enforcement - Police Chief Magazine
The most recent 30 years of data show the total number of officers feloniously killed declined consecutively for each 10-year time period between 1987 and 2016. However, the percentage of officers whose deaths involved ambushes or unprovoked attacks steadily increased during the same 30 years.
